A gritty win as Teams Battle in Torrential Downpour
FT Áth Troim  2-15 v Clann na nGael 2-11

In a hard-fought battle, Trim, despite the challenging and miserable weather conditions, took the points from this encounter.    Conor Quigley and Kyle Ennis played pivotal roles in securing the victory for Trim.  Quigley's early clearance and subsequent score set the tone, with Ennis capitalizing on a free to open the scoreboard.  A brilliant team effort saw Josh Ayton raise the green flag following a precise pass from George Douglas, only for Athboy to quickly respond with a score of their own.

The second half began with Quigley scoring immediately from the throw-in, as Trim's players adapted to the weather. Darragh Heffernan added to the tally, but Athboy remained relentless, finding the net after a lapse in Trim's discipline. Near the game's end, Athboy raised another green flag, tightening the contest, but a quick succession of points from the on target Quigley keeping a small margin between the teams.  Ennis sealed the game with a spectacular long-range score, leading Trim to a hard-earned victory on a difficult night.
