Trim produced a superb team performance to secure a commanding win over Dunderry in this second round, showcasing brilliant teamwork, sharp shooting, and a rock-solid defence throughout the game.
Dunderry opened the scoring early, but Trim responded quickly with a point from Emma Hanifin to level the game. Shona followed up with a well-taken free to put Trim ahead, and moments later, Emma Hanifin rattled the net with a powerful goal to give Trim an early cushion.
Dunderry kept the scoreboard ticking with a couple of points from frees, but Trim began to pull away, with Ellen M making her mark, scoring two fine points from play and another from a free. Amy added her name to the scoresheet with a confident point, while Gráinne made a crucial block at the other end to deny Dunderry a goal and maintain Trim's strong lead.
Trim’s attacking unit continued to click, as quick ball movement and clever passing led to another point from Emma Hanifin, followed by a brace from Ellen M and another goal from Hanifin, who was in unstoppable form. Shona and Blathnaid added further points before the break to give Trim a commanding half-time lead

The second half saw more of the same, with Trim picking up right where they left off. Emma Hanifin struck first with a point, and although Dunderry managed to respond with a single score, Trim never took their foot off the pedal.
Shona added two more points, including one from a free, and Anna F got her first score of the game as Trim’s dominance grew.
The moment of the half came when Ellen M blasted a goal from the 21, capping off a superb individual performance.
Trim’s backs were equally impressive, putting in a tireless shift to shut down any Dunderry advances and keep them to a single point in the second half. The teamwork, discipline, and work rate from front to back were a testament to the squad’s preparation and unity.
As the final whistle blew, Trim had racked up an outstanding 3-23 to 0-6 victory – a result that not only reflected their scoring power but also their tenacity and defensive organisation.
