🔴⚾ U/13 BOYNE CUP🔴⚾ RD 1 of Games
The Trim lads played 3 games in the fabulous National Indoor Arena in Abbottstown on Sunday. And as usual they represented the Club with pride winning 2 out of 3 only narrowly beaten by neighbours Kildalkey in our 2nd game. This is the first of 3 outings the lads will have and going on some of the displays there is plenty to look forward too.
Sean O’Brien has really cemented his position since taking the mantel of goalkeeper with some fine saves and excellent passing in play as well as finding his team mates on puckouts too. He is one to watch.
John Higgins, Cathal Potterton, Sean McMahon & Sean Carberry were solid in defence well assisted by Noah Williams Byrne who was breaking up opposition attacks with fierce tackling and skill.
Evan McGuinness and Paudie Reilly kept the motor ticking with endless work hunting down the ball all over the beautiful indoor astro pitch. In the forwards Leon Caldwell and Tadhg Dempsey caused problems for all other defences finding their range and linking up with each other.
Con O’Donnell was a marked man and done damage every time in possession striking scores with precision.
A fantastic day’s hurling for the boys and the management can certainly look forward to the next round with some degree of confidence.
